Cactus Garden, officially known as the National Cactus and Succulent Botanical Garden and Research Centre, is situated in Sector 5 of Panchkula, Haryana, India. Established in 1987 by Dr. J.S. Sarkaria, it is Asia’s largest garden dedicated to rare and exotic species of Indian succulents. Spread across 7 acres, the garden houses over 3,500 species of cacti and succulents. With its extensive collection, the garden serves as a center for both research and tourism, aiming to conserve these unique and otherwise endangered species. The garden's design showcases a variety of shapes, sizes, and types of cacti, ranging from small globular to tall columnar species, providing a unique and aesthetic visual experience for visitors. The garden also serves as a habitat for various bird species, adding to its biodiversity. Additionally, it organizes an annual Cactus and Succulent Show, which attracts plant enthusiasts from across the country.
