How to Reach Chihkan Tower

Chihkan Tower, also known as "Fort Provintia," is one of the most famous historical sites in Tainan, Taiwan. Reaching this destination is straightforward and can be done through various modes of transportation.

By High-Speed Rail (HSR)

Take the HSR to Tainan Station: Taiwan's High Speed Rail network connects major cities across the island. From Taipei, the journey to Tainan takes about 1.5 hours.
Transfer to a shuttle bus: From the HSR Tainan Station, you can transfer to a free shuttle service provided for HSR passengers or take other buses that will bring you closer to the city center.

By Train

Take a regular train to Tainan Railway Station. Train services are frequent, and the station is well connected to other parts of Taiwan.
Once at Tainan Railway Station, Chihkan Tower is about a 20-minute walk or a short taxi ride away.

By Bus

Several city bus lines pass near Chihkan Tower. You can take buses labeled 0, 2, 5, or 18 to the nearby stops.
Exit the bus at Chihkan Tower stop. The landmark is just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop.

By Car or Scooter

If you're driving, set your GPS for No. 212, Section 2, Minzu Road, West Central District, Tainan City, which is the address of Chihkan Tower.
Parking can be limited in the area, so be prepared to find a spot in the nearby streets or use a public parking garage.

By Taxi

Simply tell the driver you want to go to Chihkan Tower (赤崁樓) or Fort Provintia. Most taxi drivers are familiar with this landmark.

Opening Hours: Chihkan Tower is open from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with the last entry at 8:30 PM.
