Dalat Cathedral, also known as the Chicken Church, is a famous landmark in Dalat, Vietnam. While the church itself holds a rich history related to its French colonial past, the surrounding region is also steeped in culinary tradition. Dalat's unique temperate climate has given rise to a variety of agricultural products not found elsewhere in Vietnam. This, in turn, has influenced local dishes which often incorporate fresh vegetables, fruits, and locally sourced meats, except beef, due to the religious significance of cows in some cultures.
