Dau Go Cave, also known as Wooden Stakes Cave, is situated in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. It's one of the most visited caves, celebrated for its large and colorful stalactite and stalagmite formations. It spans around 5,000 square meters and is divided into three main chambers. The name 'Dau Go' is derived from a historical event where wooden stakes were hidden by General Tran Hung Dao in the 13th century, used to thwart invading Mongol ships. This historical association adds to the cave's allure. Inside, the first chamber features high ceilings with a multitude of stalactites hanging like a 'forest'. The second chamber is known for its flowstone formations that resemble waterfalls. The third chamber, accessible by a narrow passage, houses a well of clear water surrounded by strangely-shaped rocks. Lights installed within the cave enhance the colors and shapes of the formations, making it an enchanting experience. The cave also provides a vantage point for breathtaking views of the bay.
