Best Time to Visit Duduma Waterfalls, Jeypore, Odisha

Located in the Koraput district of Odisha near the border with Andhra Pradesh, Duduma Waterfalls is a stunning natural spectacle that attracts numerous visitors every year. The waterfall is particularly majestic during the monsoon season which is from June to October. During these months, the rainfall in the area is abundant, ensuring the waterfalls are at their most powerful and voluminous. The lush greenery of the surrounding landscapes is also at its zenith, providing a breathtaking backdrop for photographers and nature lovers. However, visitors should be prepared for the possibility of heavy rainfall and potential travel disruptions during monsoon.

For those seeking a more tranquil experience or perhaps wish to avoid the heavy rains, the period immediately following the monsoon, namely from November to February, might be the best time to visit. The weather during this period is generally cooler, making it pleasant for sightseeing activities. The waterfall still retains much of its splendor, fed by the residual rains. This window also coincides with the peak tourist season for Odisha, so while the waterfalls will be less fierce than during monsoon, they will still provide a compelling sight for visitors. Do note that temperatures can rise significantly starting in March through May, which may not be the ideal time for those sensitive to heat.
