Best Time To Visit Green Island (Hawalli) In 2026 - 2027

Discover the Ideal Season for a Visit to Green Island in Hawalli, Kuwait

Visiting Green Island, Kuwait's first artificial island located in the vibrant district of Hawalli, is a delight for travelers seeking a mix of leisure and adventure. The ideal time to plan your trip is during the cooler months of November to early April, when the temperatures are pleasant, often ranging between 18°C to 30°C (64°F - 86°F). This period avoids the scorching heat of the summer days, making outdoor activities and strolls along the beach comfortable. Whether you are looking to enjoy picnics, water sports, or simply relax by the seaside, this serene island oasis provides the perfect backdrop without the intense heat or discomfort that can accompany the Kuwaiti summer.

In stark contrast, the summer months from May to October are sweltering, with temperatures frequently exceeding 40°C (104°F), which many find stifling for outdoor pursuits. Those visiting during these warmer times should be prepared for the heat and plan activities during the cooler early mornings or late afternoons. Despite the high temperatures, summer evenings can also be a popular time to visit, as the island lights up and the sea breeze offers some respite from the day's heat. However, for a truly comfortable and enjoyable experience exploring Green Island's attractions, including its lush gardens, swimming pools, and amphitheater, aim for the milder months when the island's beauty can be appreciated to the fullest.
