Best Time To Visit Hatu Temple (Narkanda) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Hatu Temple, Narkanda

Visiting Hatu Temple in Narkanda, Himachal Pradesh, offers a spectacular blend of spiritual peace and natural enchantment. The best time to make this journey is during the summer months from May to September. During this period, the weather is extremely pleasant with clear skies and moderate temperatures, ranging between 8°C and 30°C. This makes it ideal for exploring the temple's surroundings without the hindrance of cold weather or snow blockages. The temple, situated at an altitude of approximately 3400 meters above sea level, is accessible by a hike through dense pine forests, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges. The beauty of the surrounding landscape is at its peak during these months, with lush greenery and vibrant flowers adorning the valley.

Nevertheless, if you are an enthusiast of snow-capped mountains and crisp winter air, the period from October to November can also be a good time, though colder, with temperatures ranging from -10°C to 10°C. The temple and its surroundings are wrapped in a blanket of snow, and although the scenery is awe-inspiring, it is essential to note that the hike to Hatu Peak becomes more challenging and proper winter gear is necessary. Keep in mind that from December to April, the temple may be inaccessible due to heavy snowfall. For those who prefer a quieter visit, avoiding the rush of peak tourist season, the months just before or after summer—April and October—provide an opportunity to enjoy the temple with fewer crowds and still pleasant weather conditions.
