Inland Sea Tourism

The Inland Sea, or Khor Al Adaid, in Mesaieed, Qatar, provides one of the most unique landscapes in the Middle Eastern region. This natural reserve features a tranquil sea juxtaposed against the splendid desert dunes and is recognized as one of the few places in the world where the sea encroaches deep into the heart of the desert. The Inland Sea is enshrined as a UNESCO recognized natural reserve due to its diverse wildlife and its exceptional natural beauty. Visitors commonly partake in thrilling desert safaris, given the area is surrounded by large sand dunes which are popular for dune bashing. The ecosystem here is a sanctuary for various species of birds and marine animals, rendering it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts. Its remote location, far from city lights, also offers an unparalleled stargazing experience. Due to the harsh desert conditions, it is advisable to visit with a professional tour guide or organized group.
