Best Time To Visit Kambang Iwak Besak Park (Banjarmasin) In 2026 - 2027

Kambang Iwak Besak Park, located in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, is a serene destination that offers a slice of tranquility and a touch of local culture amidst the city's hustle and bustle. The best time to visit the park depends on the type of experience you're looking for. If you wish to enjoy the park at its liveliest, consider planning your visit around local events or festivals, as the park often serves as a venue for community gatherings and celebrations. Weather-wise, the optimal time to visit is during the dry season, which typically runs from May to September. During these months, you'll be able to enjoy pleasant, rain-free days that are perfect for outdoor activities such as boating, walking, and enjoying the scenic views of the park's centerpiece, the large pond known as Danau Siring. However, visitors who prefer a quieter experience should consider visiting during weekdays or outside of major holidays, when the park is less crowded. The park is open year-round, but the wet season, which spans from October to April, can bring heavy rainfall, which might hinder outdoor activities and cause some areas to be less accessible due to flooding. Regardless of the season, mornings and late afternoons are ideal times to visit, as the temperatures are cooler, providing a more comfortable environment for exploration and relaxation. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, hats, and hydration, as the tropical climate can be intense, especially during the peak daylight hours.
