How to Reach Kampi Dolphin Pool, Kratie, Cambodia

The Kampi Dolphin Pool is one of the most famous spots in Kratie to witness the rare Irrawaddy dolphins. Here's how you can get there:

By Air

Although Kratie does not have its own airport, visitors can fly into Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, and then proceed by land. The nearest airport is the Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH).

By Bus

From Phnom Penh: The journey from Phnom Penh to Kratie can take around 6 to 8 hours. There are several bus companies that operate between Phnom Penh and Kratie. Tickets can be purchased directly at the bus station, online, or through your hotel.

From Siem Reap: Buses or minivans also run from Siem Reap to Kratie. This trip can take 7 to 10 hours depending on the mode of transport you choose.

By Private Taxi

For a more comfortable and faster journey, you can hire a private taxi from Phnom Penh or any other major city in Cambodia. The ride might be more expensive but can save you time and provide door-to-door service.

By Local Transport

Once you reach Kratie town, Kampi Dolphin Pool is about 15 kilometers north of the town center. You can reach Kampi by:

• Tuk-Tuk: Hire a local tuk-tuk to take you to Kampi. Always agree on the price before starting the journey.
• Motorbike: Rent a motorbike to drive to the dolphin pool if you're an experienced motorbike rider.
