Food History of Karaganda State Zoo, Karaganda, Kazakhstan

The Karaganda State Zoo itself may not have a rich food history, given that it is primarily a place for conservation and animal care. Traditional Kazakh cuisine is predominantly meat-based due to the nomadic lifestyle of its past inhabitants, but in modern times, as a result of Russia's impact during the Soviet era, vegetarian options have become more readily available in cities like Karaganda.
