Reaching Wadi Rum

By Air

The nearest airport to Wadi Rum is King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba. Once you arrive in Aqaba, you can take a taxi or arrange a transfer with a tour company to Wadi Rum, which is about 70 kilometers away.

By Car

If you are coming from Amman, the capital of Jordan, Wadi Rum is approximately a 4-hour drive. There are car rental services available in Amman and at the Queen Alia International Airport. Take the Desert Highway (Route 15) south towards Aqaba and then follow the signs to Wadi Rum.

By Bus

Regular bus services are available from Amman, Petra and Aqaba to Wadi Rum. The journey can take a few hours depending on your point of origin, so it's advisable to check the timetable in advance.

From Wadi Rum Village to Khazali Canyon

Once at the Wadi Rum Visitor's Center, you'll need to arrange for a 4x4 vehicle with a local Bedouin driver to reach Khazali Canyon. This is a mandatory requirement, as private vehicles are not allowed to drive within the protected area without a local guide.
