Getting There

Kinkaku-ji, known as the Golden Pavilion, is a historic temple in Kyoto that can be accessed through various means of transportation.

By Train and Bus

Step 1: Take the Karasuma Line to Kitaōji Station.
Step 2: From Kitaōji Bus Terminal, take bus numbers 101 or 205 and get off at the Kinkaku-ji Michi stop.
Travel Time: Approximately 20-25 minutes from the station to the temple.

By Direct Bus

From Kyoto Station: You can take bus number 205 directly to Kinkaku-ji Michi.
Travel Time: About 40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

By Taxi

A taxi ride from central Kyoto areas such as Kyoto Station or Gion can be a convenient but more costly alternative.
