Best Time to Visit Lake of No Return (Pilkhan Tlang)

The Lake of No Return, locally known as Pilkhan Tlang, is situated in the picturesque state of Mizoram, India. To experience the natural splendor of this enchanting lake at its best, the ideal time to visit is during the post-monsoon months, from October to April. During these months, the weather is relatively dry with minimal rainfall, allowing travelers to enjoy the serene environment comfortably. The lake's surroundings become lush and verdant after the monsoon, enhancing its beauty and making it perfect for photography and nature walks.

Visiting the lake during the cool winter months, particularly from November to February, provides a pleasant climate for sightseeing and outdoor activities. The temperature during this period is cool and suitable for exploring the surrounding landscapes and engaging in cultural interactions with the local communities. Keep in mind that while the days are comfortable, the nights can get quite chilly, so wearing layers or carrying warm clothing is advisable. Tourists should avoid the monsoon season, from May to September, as the heavy rains can cause difficult traveling conditions and limit access to the lake and its surroundings.
