Lenin Peak, also known as Ibn Sina Peak, rising to an elevation of 7,134 meters, is one of the most renowned mountains in the Trans-Alay Range in the Pamirs of Tajikistan. Named after the Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, it is considered one of the easiest 7,000m peaks to climb due to its relatively moderate slopes and accessibility. Despite this, the high altitude and extreme weather conditions make it a challenging ascent that should not be underestimated. Situated near the border with Kyrgyzstan, the area around Lenin Peak is remote and characterized by stunning alpine scenery, including sprawling glaciers and rugged peaks. The standard route starts from the base camp typically located in Achik Tash on the Kyrgyz side, although it is also accessible from the Tajikistan side through the town of Murghab. Climbers must be well acclimated and prepared for sudden weather changes. The region is also popular for high-altitude trekking, offering breathtaking views and a sense of isolation amidst the immense landscapes of the Pamir Mountains.
