Best Time To Visit Lenin's Mausoleum (Moscow) In 2026 - 2027

When planning a visit to Lenin's Mausoleum in Moscow, it is important to consider the climate and operational hours to ensure the best experience. The mausoleum, which serves as the final resting place of the Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin, is located in the heart of Moscow in Red Square and is a significant site of historical and political interest.

The best time to visit Lenin's Mausoleum is typically during the spring (April to June) or early fall (September to October). During these periods, the weather in Moscow is generally mild and pleasant, with fewer crowds compared to the peak tourist season in summer. You'll enjoy moderate temperatures and a lower chance of rain, which is ideal for standing in the queue that can often form outside the mausoleum. Keep in mind that the mausoleum's opening hours are usually Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, but it is closed on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays. Additionally, the mausoleum might be closed during national holidays and for regular maintenance, so it's highly recommended to check the schedule before planning your visit.
