Lizares Mansion, also known as Angelicum School Iloilo, is a landmark historical house in the Philippines. Built in 1937 for Don Emiliano Lizares and his family, the mansion exemplifies the opulence and elegance of the sugar baron era in the Visayas region. Situated in the district of Jaro in Iloilo City, it is an exemplar of Filipino-Spanish architecture with a mix of American colonial influences, reflective of the Philippines' multicultural history. Designed by Filipino architect Fernando H. Ocampo, the mansion features a grandiose facade, ornately designed interiors, and a spacious garden. During World War II, it was used by the Japanese forces and later by the Guerilla Forces as a headquarters. After the war, it was acquired by the Dominicans and transformed into a school, which it still operates as today. The mansion, with its historic significance and architectural grandeur, is not just a place of education but also a symbol of Iloilo's rich cultural heritage.
