Molo Church, also known as St. Anne Parish Church, is a remarkable historical and architectural landmark located in the district of Molo in Iloilo City, Philippines. A striking example of Gothic-Renaissance architecture, the church stands out with its beautiful, spires, and stunning facade. It was built in 1831 and is made predominantly of coral rock, giving it a distinct texture. The church is often referred to as a 'feminist church' because of the presence of 16 images of female saints displayed inside. The interiors of the Molo Church are as impressive as its exteriors, with intricate stained glass windows casting colorful reflections on the aisle. The altar is ornately decorated, and the church exudes a peaceful vibe, inviting visitors to reflect and worship. Molo Church is not just a religious site but also a venue of historical significance as it was declared a National Landmark by the National Historical Institute. It played a role during the Philippine revolution against Spanish and American colonizers, serving as an evacuation center and a Red Cross station.
