Longpi Pottery Village Tourism

Longpi Pottery Village, also known as Longpi Khullen or Nungbi, is renowned for its age-old pottery-making tradition, situated in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, India. This scenic village is situated amidst hills and lush greenery, offering a serene environment. The art of Longpi pottery or Longpi Ham is unique; artisans use a special mixture of black serpentine stone and brown weathered rock, which are ground together. The pottery is fashioned by hand, without a potter’s wheel, and then polished and baked in a bonfire. This traditional craft is known for its elegance, durability, and distinctive black color.
