The Mall of Asia, also known as MOA, is a massive shopping, dining, and entertainment complex located in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Spaning an area of about 42 hectares, it is among the largest malls in the Philippines and even in the world. Opened in 2006, the Mall of Asia has become a landmark for both locals and tourists alike. This extensive complex is home to a wide range of retail outlets featuring both international and local brands, numerous restaurants and food chains offering various cuisines, and multiple entertainment facilities including a state-of-the-art IMAX theater, an ice skating rink, and a bowling alley. The mall also boasts of the MOA Eye, a giant Ferris wheel that provides panoramic views of the Manila Bay. The SMX Convention Center, an exhibition and convention venue, is adjacent to the mall, making this area a hub for business as well. With its daily spectacular sunset views over the bay, the Mall of Asia is not only a shopping destination but also a cultural and leisure park that offers various seasonal events and shows. In addition, the Mall of Asia Arena is a popular venue for concerts, sports events, and other large-scale activities.
