The Maokong Gondola in Taipei, Taiwan, is a popular aerial tramway that provides stunning panoramic views of the city and the lush Maokong hills. As a part of the Taipei Rapid Transit System, it stretches approximately 4.3 kilometers from the Taipei Zoo up to the Maokong area, a well-known spot for tea plantations and traditional teahouses. The gondola has four stations: Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and Maokong Station. It features crystal-clear glass-bottomed cabins known as 'Eyes of Maokong Gondola' for an unmatched scenic experience. The gondola operates with 147 cabins and has a capacity of carrying eight passengers per cabin. The ride to the top provides an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty, tranquil ambiance, and to immerse in the cultural tea-making activities. Upon reaching Maokong, visitors can explore hiking trails, visit tea museums, and relax in one of the numerous teahouses, indulging in the local tea culture.
