Naga Heritage Village, Kisama (venue for the Hornbill Festival) Tourism

The Naga Heritage Village, Kisama is a cultural hub situated about 12 kilometers from Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland, India. Designed to celebrate and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the various indigenous Naga tribes, the village serves as a permanent venue for the famous annual Hornbill Festival, earning the nickname 'festival village.' The Heritage Village was specifically created to give visitors a glimpse into tribal life and the age-old traditions of the Naga people. The landscape of the village is picturesque with hills and lush greenery encompassing the area, which truly represents the spirit of the land known for its natural beauty and biodiversity. During the Hornbill Festival, which takes place from December 1st to 10th annually, the village comes alive with vibrant performances, crafts, sports, food fairs, games, and ceremonies.
