Directions to Nil Barahi Temple, Panauti, Nepal
By Air
Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu is the closest international airport to Panauti. Upon arrival, you can hire a taxi or take a local bus to reach Panauti, which is approximately 32 kilometers southeast of Kathmandu.
By Road
From Kathmandu: There are several bus services available from Ratna Park or Bagbazar to Panauti. The bus journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic conditions.
Self-Drive: You can rent a car or motorbike and drive to Panauti by following the Araniko Highway till Dhulikhel and then turning off to the road leading to Panauti. The drive is scenic and takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.
By Taxi
Taxi services are available from Kathmandu to Panauti. It is a convenient option though more expensive than a bus. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start your journey. The ride generally takes around 1 to 1.5 hours.
Once in Panauti
Upon reaching Panauti, Nil Barahi Temple can be accessed by foot. The temple is situated at the confluence of the Roshi and Punyamati rivers and is a central point of the town. Ask locals for directions or look for signposts directing towards the temple.
