Qadisha Grotto, also known as the Kadisha valley, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the high mountains of northern Lebanon. The Qadisha Valley is steeped in Christian monastic tradition, with hermitages, chapels, and monasteries cut into its cliffs for over a millennium. The grotto itself is a natural wonder, a subterranean complex of caves filled with striking stalactites and stalagmites. Dramatically lit, the grotto presents a magical experience, showcasing the natural artistry of water on limestone. The Cedars of God is a nearby ancient forest of Cedars, some of which are thousands of years old. This forest is one of the last vestiges of the extensive forests of the Lebanon Cedar that once thrived across Mount Lebanon. Revered since antiquity and mentioned in various historical and religious texts, these cedars are a symbol of the country and a testimony to Lebanon's rich biodiversity and cultural heritage.
