Cultural and Commercial Street

Welcome to Rainbow Street in Amman, Jordan

Rainbow Street is one of the most famous streets located in the heart of Amman. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, street food, and cultural events, it's a must-visit destination for both tourists and locals alike. Here's how you can reach Rainbow Street:

By Air:

For international travelers, you will most likely arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM). From there, you can take:

Taxi: The most convenient option. Taxis are available at the airport 24/7. Make sure to either agree on a fare or insist on using the meter before you start the trip.
Car Rental: Several car rental agencies are located at the airport. Having a GPS or a map app on your smartphone will be helpful for navigating to Rainbow Street.
Airport Express Bus: Cheaper than taxis, it can take you to the city center where you can take another taxi to Rainbow Street or walk if you're up for it.

By Road:

If you're already in Jordan or arriving from neighboring countries, you can reach Rainbow Street by:

Bus: Regular buses and minibusses go to Amman's Abdali bus station from various cities. From Abdali, you can take a short taxi ride to Rainbow Street.
Car: If you're driving, use a navigation system. Parking can be challenging on Rainbow Street itself, but there are parking areas nearby.

Within Amman:

For those staying in other parts of Amman, you can reach Rainbow Street by:

Taxi: Taxis are widely available throughout Amman and are an affordable and convenient way to get around.
Ride-sharing Apps: Apps like Uber and Careem work well in Amman and can take you directly to your destination on Rainbow Street.
Public Bus: Public buses run throughout the city but may not be the most convenient for travelers due to the lack of clear route information and schedules.
Walking: If you are close enough and enjoy walking, Amman's weather can be quite pleasant for a stroll during spring and fall.

Pro Tips:

Weekends, particularly Thursday and Friday nights, can be very crowded. Plan accordingly if you prefer a quieter visit.
Parking on Rainbow Street is limited, so consider using taxis or ride-sharing apps to avoid the hassle of finding a spot.
Keep in mind that Amman is built on a series of hills, so wear comfortable shoes as you'll likely encounter some inclines or stairs along the way.

Whether it's enjoying a cup of traditional Jordanian coffee, shopping from local artisans, or taking in the views from one of the many rooftop terraces, Rainbow Street offers a delightful experience for every visitor.
