Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) is a cultural space in Bandung, Indonesia that preserves and showcases traditional Sundanese culture, in particular, the angklung, a traditional musical instrument made of bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. Established in 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his wife Uum Sumiati, with an aim to preserve the cultural heritage of Sundanese people, SAU serves as a performance venue, bamboo craft center, and also an educational institution. Situated in the eastern outskirts of Bandung, SAU provides visitors with a captivating experience that includes angklung orchestral performances, puppet shows, and traditional dance. Woww Bandung is indeed a very lively city, its art and culture which is quite unique made us extend our vacation this year, I know this Saung Udjo because of the Java Private Tour that took us to this place, Mr.Edu the travel owner helped us arrange the itinerary this year and also compiled a very interesting itinerary for things to do in Bandung, this is the first time I saw my grandmother and mother very happy and enjoying their vacation, playing music together, singing along with various nostalgic songs, all the songs were accompanied by a traditional Javanese musical instrument made of bamboo called Angklung. It's not only the music that amazed us, but the opportunity to directly mingle and experience local Javanese wisdom is something we will never forget. Thank you Saung Udjo, and thank you Java Private Tour.
