Saung Angklung Udjo Tourism

Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) is a cultural space in Bandung, Indonesia that preserves and showcases traditional Sundanese culture, in particular, the angklung, a traditional musical instrument made of bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. Established in 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his wife Uum Sumiati, with an aim to preserve the cultural heritage of Sundanese people, SAU serves as a performance venue, bamboo craft center, and also an educational institution. Situated in the eastern outskirts of Bandung, SAU provides visitors with a captivating experience that includes angklung orchestral performances, puppet shows, and traditional dance. The interactive performances often invite audience participation, making the experience memorable and engaging for tourists.
