Siju Cave (Siju Dobkhakol) Tourism

Siju Cave, also known as Siju Dobkhakol, is located near the Simsang River in the Indian state of Meghalaya, close to the village of Siju in the South Garo Hills district. It's one of the longest cave systems in the Indian subcontinent, renowned for its impressive limestone formations and bat habitat. The main cave contains a river and Siju is famous for its stalactites and stalagmites. One of the remarkable features within the cave is the 'Princess Di's Chamber,' a section with beautiful rock formations. The caves harbor a variety of rare species of bats, which further adds to the ecological significance of Siju. Due to the fragile nature of the caves, they are an important area for scientific study and have attracted spelunkers and researchers from around the world.
