Surajkund is an ancient reservoir located on the Southern Delhi Ridge of the Aravalli range in Faridabad, Haryana, India. Built in the 10th century by King Suraj Pal of the Tomar dynasty, it resembles an amphitheater shaped as the rising sun with an eastward arc. Surajkund, meaning 'Lake of the Sun', is a semicircular, stepped stone embankment that once held water and is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a picturesque spot. The site is famous for hosting the annual Surajkund International Craft Mela, which showcases a plethora of handloom, handicrafts, and cultural fabric of India, attracting visitors from all over the globe. Artisans from various Indian states, as well as international crafters, congregate here to display their work. Apart from the mela, the area is known for its tranquil environment, the ruins of the Sun temple, and the waterfront. It is a preferred destination for picnic-goers and those seeking a cultural experience amidst historic surroundings.

Suraj kund mela total wastage of money and time. fleecing the tourists. Parking Rs 200, entry 180, food is costly & poor
Haryana Govt should improve the facilities and ensure affordable rates so that Tourist feel better. Quality of food must be improved
