Must-Try Foods In Taif Rose Factory (Taif) For Tourists 2026 - 2027

Food History of Taif Rose Factory, Taif, Saudi Arabia

The Taif Rose Factory in Taif, Saudi Arabia, is more renowned for its production of rose water and rose oil than for its contribution to the food industry directly. However, the roses of Taif have a romantic and historical culinary importance. Known as "Ward Taifi," the roses have been cultivated in the region for over a century and are deeply embedded in the local culture and cuisine.

The edible roses are used to flavor many traditional dishes and sweets. Rose water and oil produced in the factories are incorporated into various Middle Eastern delicacies to add a unique aroma and taste. The rose harvest, which usually takes place in April, is a time when the entire region celebrates the blooming of roses and products derived from them find their way into the local food scenes.
