Best Time to Visit Thirunakkara Mahadeva Temple, Kumarakom, Kerala

Visiting Thirunakkara Mahadeva Temple, a revered shrine located in Kottayam near Kumarakom in Kerala, is a spiritual experience that can be enhanced by choosing the right time to visit. While the temple is open throughout the year, the ideal time to visit is during the cool and dry months from October to March. During this period, the weather in Kerala is pleasant, with minimal rainfall, making it comfortable for tourists to explore the temple and its surroundings. Moreover, the temperatures are conducive to traveling and engaging in various cultural and spiritual activities without the discomfort of excessive heat or monsoon rains.

The temple is also famed for its annual festival, the Thirunakkara Arattu, which takes place in March. This ten-day-long celebration is marked by traditional rituals, elephant processions, classical dance performances, and cultural programs, attracting devotees and tourists from all over.
