7 Nights 8 Days Gangtok Tour Package Itinerary
Day 1: NJP RAILWAY STATION/BAGDOGRA AIRPORT- GANGTOK (125 KMS 4 HOURS APPROX)
On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport, you will be met by our driver who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok. On arrival check into the hotel and enjoy the day at Leisure. GANGTOK: At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the Mid 19 th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a traveller’s delight. OVERNIGHT AT GANGTOK.
Day 2: GANGTOK - LACHUNG (APPROX - 117 KMS 6 HRS)
Post breakfast around 9.00 a.m. take the transfer to Lachung (8610ft). On your way visit Singhik View Point, Seven Sister Waterfalls, Naga Water Falls. Lunch on the way. Check-in to your hotel on arrival. OVERNIGHT IN LACHUNG.
Day 3: LACHUNG - YUMTHANG (11800 FT.) – LACHEN (APPROX – 65 KMS 2 ½ HRS)
After breakfast embark on an excursion trip to Yumthang-Valley (known as Valley of Flowers) and back. After lunch take the transfer to Lachen. Rest of the day free or at own to explore Lachen. OVERNIGHT IN LACHEN.
Day 4: LACHEN SIGHT SEEING – GANGTOK (APPROX – 148 KMS 7 HRS)
Post breakfast we embark on an excursion trip to Thangu, Gurudongmar Lake (17200 ft) & Chopta Valley. After lunch take the return transfer to Gangtok. Enroute see Bheema & Twin Falls. Check-in to your hotel on arrival. OVERNIGHT IN GANGTOK.
Day 5: GANGTOK- ENCHANTING TSOMGO LAKE & BABA MANDIR
Breakfast at the hotel and full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit New Baba Mandir (Nathula Pass is optional) OVERNIGHT AT GANGTOK.
Day 6: GANGTOK - PELLING TRANSFER
After breakfast take transfer to Pelling. Pelling is famous for magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains of Kanchenjunga. Placid Pelling pulls most of the visitors for its representative status in history, nature and culture of the state. On arrival Check into the Hotel.After that Proceed for sight seeing Kanchenjunga Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Dentam Valley, Rimbi Waterfall. After that check into hotel. OVERNIGHT STAY AT PELLING.
Day 7: PELLING HALF DAY SIGHT SEEING – DARJEELING TRANSFER
After Breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of Pelling covering - Khachoedpalri Lake & Changay Waterfall (Sky Walk & Singsore Bridge – Extra Cost).After That Drove to Darjeeling.On Arrival Check into Darjeeling Hotel. OVERNIGHT AT DARJEELING.
Day 8: DARJEELING HALF DAY SIGHT SEEING- IXB BAGDOGRA AIRPORT/NJP RAILWAY STATION
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. It is truly a majestic sight and Ghoom Monastery which is oldest Monastery in the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Kanchenjunga view point. Then visit Batasia Loop and transfer to hotel. After breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station in time for flight/train to your onward destination.
