Best Time to Visit Al Rahma Mosque (Floating Mosque), Jeddah

Al Rahma Mosque, also known as the Floating Mosque, is one of the most serene and picturesque places to visit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. If you’re planning a trip, considering the climate and religious events is crucial for the best experience. The most ideal time to visit is during the period between November and March. During these months, the weather in Jeddah is relatively mild, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F), making it comfortable for visitors to explore the mosque and its surroundings without the extreme heat common in the area during other times of the year.

Additionally, timing your visit outside the busy pilgrimage periods of Hajj and Umrah can provide a more peaceful experience. Normally, the busiest times in Jeddah are during the Islamic months of Dhul-Qadah, Dhul-Hijjah, and Muharram, which correspond with the Hajj pilgrimage and the subsequent festival of Eid al-Adha. Visiting outside of these periods will not only ensure the mosque is less crowded, but it will also be easier to find accommodation and flights. Although the mosque is stunning at any time of day, for a truly exceptional visit, aim to go at sunset when the setting sun casts golden hues over the building and the Red Sea – an enchanting sight that makes the mosque appear as if it's truly floating on water.
