Guide to Reaching Al Zubarah Fort, Qatar

Al Zubarah Fort, located in the northwestern part of Qatar, is a significant archeological site that was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013. It is about 105 kilometers from the capital city, Doha.

By Car

From Doha:

Take the Al Shamal Road (Q1) heading north.
Continue for approximately 100 kilometers.
Follow signs towards Madinat ash Shamal.
Turn left onto the road towards Al Zubarah (Q6).
Continue straight until you reach the fort.

The trip usually takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

By Bus

The state-owned Mowasalat company provides bus services within Qatar. However, there are no direct bus routes to Al Zubarah Fort. Visitors may need to rent a car from the nearest city or take a taxi.
