Best Time To Visit Bassa Beach (Khasab) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Bassa Beach, Khasab, Oman

Located on the northern tip of the Oman peninsula, Bassa Beach in Khasab is renowned for its tranquil waters and stunning sunsets, making it a perfect destination for beach enthusiasts and nature lovers. The optimal time to visit Bassa Beach is during the cooler months from October to April. During this period, the weather is most pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F). The mild temperature allows visitors to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and beach picnicking without the discomfort of the scorching summer heat.

The summer months from May to September, on the other hand, are characterized by extreme temperatures that can surpass 40°C (104°F), which can be quite oppressive, especially for those not accustomed to intense heat. Hence, tourism generally sees a downturn during this time. Additionally, during the cooler months, visitors have the chance to witness the migration of the humpback dolphins and are often treated to serene boat rides in the crystal-clear waters. Therefore, if you’re planning a trip to Bassa Beach, aim for the period between autumn and spring to take full advantage of the best weather and to experience Khasab’s natural beauty in comfort.
