About Boh Tea Plantation
The Boh Tea Plantation is nestled amidst the tranquil and verdant hills of Cameron Highlands in Malaysia, offering a picturesque and soothing landscape. Established in 1929 by J.A. Russell, a British businessman, it is the largest and oldest tea producer in Malaysia. Spanning over 8,000 acres, the plantation is a testament to the country's colonial heritage and is steeped in age-old traditions of tea farming. Visitors to the plantation can indulge in guided tours that showcase the journey of tea from leaf to cup, including processes such as harvesting, processing, and packing. The tours often culminate at the on-site tea shop and café where one can savor a variety of teas complemented by stunning views of the rolling tea fields. The plantation's sustainability efforts, such as rainforest conservation and eco-friendly farming practices, reflect its commitment to preserving the environment. It has become a popular tourist destination not only for tea enthusiasts but also for those seeking a serene escape into nature.

Stunning tour of BOH Tea facility with Sangeethaa
I arranged a private tour for my parents. Our guide was Sangeethaa, who was kind, very informative, and gave a wonderful tour of the processing plant, as well as a thorough explanation of the variety of teas BOH produces. We had a private tea tasting with cakes, which was excellent. I'm glad we went the private route - the main tea room is also lovely, but the smaller private rooms add a personal touch that can't be beat. The setting is beautiful, the service was excellent, and I highly recommend Sangeethaa as a guide if she is available.
