How to Reach Brera Art Gallery (Pinacoteca di Brera), Milan, Italy

The Brera Art Gallery, one of Milan's most prestigious cultural institutions, is located in the historic Brera neighborhood. Here is how you can reach the Pinacoteca di Brera:

By Public Transport

• Metro: You can take the M2 (green line) to Lanza station, the M3 (yellow line) to Montenapoleone station, or the M1 (red line) to Cairoli station. From any of these stations, the gallery is just a short walk away.
• Tram: Trams 1, 4, 12, 14, and 27 stop near the gallery. The closest stop is "Via Cusani Via Brera".
• Bus: Buses 61 and 97 also have stops in proximity to the Brera Art Gallery. You can get off at the "Via Fiori Chiari" stop.

By Train

If you are coming from outside Milan and arrive at the main train station (Milano Centrale), you can take the M2 metro line directly to Lanza station.

By Car

Brera is situated in the heart of Milan, and driving might not be the best option because of traffic and limited parking spaces. If you choose to drive:

• Parking: You can look for parking spots at garages around the Brera district. Parking is generally fee-based.
• ZTL: Be aware that Brera is within the 'Zona Traffico Limitato' (ZTL), where vehicle access is restricted during certain hours to reduce pollution and traffic. Ensure you're permitted to drive in this area at the time you plan to visit.

By Bicycle

Milan has a bike-sharing service called BikeMi, which is a convenient and eco-friendly way to get around. There are several BikeMi stations in Brera.

Walking

Milan's city center is quite walkable, and the Brera district is within comfortable walking distance from other major attractions such as the Milan Cathedral (Duomo) and La Scala Opera House.
