Central Market, also known as Psar Nat, is a major landmark in Battambang, Cambodia, and a vibrant hub of commerce and culture. The market's iconic structure features a distinctive Art Deco style, representing the French colonial influence in the region. Built in the 1930s, it stands as a testament to the town's urban development during the colonial period. This bustling market is spread over several floors and is teeming with vendors offering a wide array of goods. Here, locals and tourists alike can find everything from fresh produce, meat, and seafood to clothing, handicrafts, and electronics. The market's ground level is primarily dedicated to food items and daily necessities, while the upper floors cater to clothing, jewelry, and other non-perishable items. Psar Nat is not just a shopping destination but also a place where visitors can experience the authentic Cambodian local life and indulge in street food delicacies. Its central location in Battambang makes it an easily accessible spot for both leisurely strolls and purposeful shopping expeditions.
