Best Time to Visit Central Research Institute, Kasauli

Located in the idyllic town of Kasauli in Himachal Pradesh, the Central Research Institute (CRI) is not only a place of scientific importance but also a charming colonial-era building worth visiting for its architectural beauty. The best time to visit Kasauli, including the CRI, is between April and June. During these months, the weather is pleasant with the temperature ranging between 14°C and 28°C. This is the ideal time for tourists to explore the town comfortably and enjoy the serene environment of CRI without the inconvenience of heavy woolens. Summer in Kasauli is cool and delightful, providing a much-needed respite from the intense heat experienced in most parts of India.

Alternatively, if you are interested in experiencing the monsoon or looking for a quieter visit, you might consider the months of July to September. However, it should be noted that this period sees frequent showers that can cause occasional disruptions in your travel plans. For those who love winters and don’t mind the cold, November to March provides a chilly yet refreshing visit to CRI, with the possibility of witnessing snowfall. During winter, the temperatures can dip to nearly freezing point, and the quietness of the off-season can be quite appealing for some travelers, however, ensure to carry adequate warm clothing.
