How to Reach Chao Sam Phraya National Museum, Ayutthaya, Thailand

Chao Sam Phraya National Museum is located in the historical city of Ayutthaya, which is about 76 kilometers north of Bangkok. To get there, you have a few different options:

By Road

• Self-Drive: Rent a car and drive to Ayutthaya. The journey takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic via Phahonyothin Road and then Asia Road (Highway 32).
• Bus: You can catch a bus from Mo Chit Bus Terminal in Bangkok to Ayutthaya. Buses leave every 20 minutes and the trip takes about 1.5 hours. From Ayutthaya bus terminal, you can hire a tuk-tuk or taxi to the museum.
• Minivan: Minivans to Ayutthaya can be found at Victory Monument or Mo Chit. These may offer a faster and slightly more comfortable trip compared to regular buses.

By Train

• From Hua Lamphong Station: The train ride from Bangkok's main train station, Hua Lamphong, to Ayutthaya is scenic and affordable, taking about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Ayutthaya train station, the museum is a short tuk-tuk or taxi ride away.

By Boat

• River Cruise: Some tour operators offer river cruises from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, which include a visit to the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum as part of the tour package.
