Best Time To Visit Cocoa Island (Maldives) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Cocoa Island, Maldives

The idyllic Cocoa Island in the Maldives is a tropical paradise throughout the year, with its peak season running from December to April. During this period, the island boasts the driest weather conditions with minimal rainfall, low humidity, and constant, warm temperatures averaging 29°C (84°F). This is considered the high season for tourism, thanks to the optimal weather for sunbathing, water sports, and clear skies that are perfect for stargazing. However, it's worth noting that the lack of rain and the promise of sunshine bring more tourists to the island, which can result in higher prices for accommodation and activities.

For those looking to avoid the crowds and possibly find better rates, the shoulder season, which falls in the months of April to June and September to November, could be an attractive option. During this period, you may still experience good weather with slightly more humidity and occasional showers. The water temperatures remain warm, making it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Since this is outside the peak travel window, the island is less crowded, offering a more serene experience. However, if you’re a diving enthusiast, the best underwater visibility and the chance to swim with manta rays and whale sharks occur during these months, particularly from May to November when plankton levels are higher, attracting these magnificent creatures.
