Reaching Cocoa Island

To reach Cocoa Island in the beautiful Maldives, travelers must follow a two-step journey:

International Flight to Malé

Firstly, you will need to book an international flight to Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé, which is the capital city of the Maldives. Most international airlines operate flights to this airport, providing connections from major cities around the world.

Transfer from Malé to Cocoa Island

Secondly, upon arrival in Malé, you will need to arrange a transfer to Cocoa Island. This is usually organized by the accommodation provider on the island, which in this case is COMO Cocoa Island Resort. The transfer includes one of the following options:

• Speedboat: A private speedboat charter is the primary means of transportation to Cocoa Island. The journey typically takes about 40 minutes from Malé. Speedboat transfers need to be arranged prior to your arrival through your resort.
• Seaplane: A seaplane transfer can also be arranged for a scenic 30-minute flight to Cocoa Island. It is essential to provide your international flight details to the resort well in advance since seaplane flights only operate during daylight hours.

Note: Due to the geographical nature of Maldives, transport schedules can be affected by local weather conditions, so it is recommended to plan for potential delays and to inform the resort of your arrival and departure details as early as possible.
