Closely guarded secrets of Odisha
This was the second time I visited this place with my husband, and we were lucky to see various animals and birds, that too in an open jeep safari. The Eco retreat accommodation was great and we again preferred to stay in the Bison block, where if lucky, you can see wild animals at night. Day 1 we saw 3 leopards, one on the ground and two on a tree, at very close distance. Also saw a bear with its cub, plenty of peacocks, deer, bisons and an elephant.There were 5 large ducks which stayed inside the guest house campus at night. We also went in a boat to Bat island where we saw hundreds of bats and the life style of locals. The staff were very helpful and nice. Food served was also good. In toto, Debrigarh has been a wonderful experience.

Nice place inside woods for a weekend
We spent 2 nights here driving from Bhubaneswar (about 8 hours as road conditions are not good). We reached the entry point driving on the Hirakud dyke road after we crossed the Ring Road. The road inside the jungle (away from the main dam) is good and we drive on the banks of the reservoir. We were required to put our details in the Register at the entry gate and duly helped by the officers there. The accommodation is about 4.5km from the entry gate. We had accommodation in Prithvi and Jaal for Day 1 and Bison Block on day2. The food provided by the Camp is just fine. We had booked a Safari for 6.15AM. The Forest Safari vehicle (we had booked an-eight seater open vehicle as 4-seaters were not available). The safari is a simple 11km drive on the straight road on the side of the reservoir to Parabati Tungi and back. The forest has some wild life like Indian Gaur (Bison), Langurs, peacocks - large numbers), wild boars, Deers, Sambar deers, foxes, etc. We saw all of them. We did not see the lone tiger, wild dog recently reportedly seen, leopards, etc. We did not seen many birds except only plum headed and ringed parakeet, cormorants, and mostly crows. People are very nice and helpful. The garden inside including the children area are not maintained properly. This needs attention of the authorities. Local people work here. It is a good place for a weekend with family and friends.

Debrigarh where nature speaks in its own language
A bliss to be in the lap of nature, around 5 kms inside the Jungle, where you get the best hospitality.The Jungle has its own story, watched leopard, bear, bison, sambar,spotted deer, wild boar, peacocks in the safari. Staffs made wonderful arrangements for our special day. Food was awesome with homely style n a caring touch. Enjoyed every moment of stay.

Beautiful place with natural beauty
This place is naturally beautiful. There was lots of greenery and awesome environment. Many wild animals was in natural environment. Good to visit and spent time.
