From Hanoi to Sapa

• By Train: Overnight trains from Hanoi to Lao Cai are popular and comfortable. From Lao Cai Railway Station, you can take a shuttle bus or a taxi to Sapa, which is about 38 kilometers away. The train journey takes approximately 8 hours.
• By Bus: Several bus companies offer services from Hanoi to Sapa. The direct bus takes around 5-6 hours and is a convenient choice with multiple departures daily.

From Sapa to Fansipan Mountain

Once you reach Sapa, you have a couple of options to continue your journey to Fansipan:

• By Cable Car: The most popular and easiest way to reach the summit of Fansipan is to take the cable car from the Sun World Fansipan Legend complex. The cable car base is about 3 kilometers from Sapa town, which you can reach by taxi or shuttle bus. The cable car journey offers stunning views of the mountainous landscape and takes about 15 to 20 minutes to reach the summit.
• Trekking: For the adventurous, a trek to Fansipan is an unforgettable experience. It's advised to hire a local guide for the 1-to-3-day trek, depending on your pace.
