How to Reach Gaurishankar

By Air

The nearest airport to Gaurishankar is the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, you can either take a helicopter service or a domestic flight (if available) to closer towns near Gaurishankar and then proceed by road. Booking flights in advance is highly recommended.

By Road

From Kathmandu, you can hire a private vehicle or take a local bus to Charikot, Dolakha. The journey may take approximately 4-6 hours. From Charikot, you can hire a local jeep to take you closer to the Gaurishankar region. Be prepared for a rough ride as the roads can be challenging.

By Trek

If you prefer trekking, from the road's end after Charikot, you can start a trek that can last several days, depending on your itinerary. Trekking in this region requires proper equipment and a guide, as the trails can be quite remote and unmarked. Make sure you are acclimatized to the altitude before you begin.
