Arriving at Halpewatte Tea Factory

By Car

• From Colombo: Take the Southern Expressway (E01) to Matara and continue on the A2 highway. Turn to the A23 road at Wellawaya towards Ella. From Ella town, the factory is about 3.5 km along the Ella-Kumbalwela Highway.
• From Kandy: Take the A1 highway to Gampola, then the A5 highway via Nuwara Eliya, and finally the A23 to Ella. The tea factory is a short drive from Ella town.

By Train

Board a train to Ella Railway Station from Colombo, Kandy, or Badulla. It is one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. Once in Ella, you can take a taxi or a tuk-tuk for the remaining short distance to Halpewatte Tea Factory.

By Bus
