Best Time To Visit Ham Ninh Fishing Village (Phu Quoc) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Ham Ninh Fishing Village, Phu Quoc, Vietnam

Visiting the serene Ham Ninh Fishing Village on Phu Quoc Island is best during the dry season, which typically spans from November through April. During this period, the weather is markedly stable with clear skies and calm seas, which is perfect for soaking in the sights of traditional boats and stilt houses that define the village's rustic charm. The dryer months also offer the most comfortable climate for exploring the outdoors and engaging with the local community, including opportunities to witness fishermen bringing in their daily catch or even to partake in some beachside activities without the interruption of rain.

Late February to early May is particularly ideal when the crowds from the peak tourist season dwindle, providing a more tranquil experience and the chance to immerprisingly appreciate Ham Ninh's natural beauty and cultural essence. Visitors can enjoy long, sunny days which are excellent for photography enthusiasts aiming to capture the idyllic sunrise or sunset over the coastline. Moreover, seafood lovers will find this period great for tasting some of the freshest seafood dishes, straight from the ocean to the plate. To avoid the potential for bad weather and typhoons, it is advisable to steer clear of the rainy season from May to October.
