Phu Quoc is a picturesque island situated in the Gulf of Thailand, off the coast of Cambodia, although it is part of Vietnam. It is the largest island in Vietnam and also the location of the district of Kien Giang province. This tropical paradise is famed for its stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, and lush green landscapes. Phu Quoc is often called the 'Pearl Island' due to its rich natural resources, namely its pearl cultivation industry. The island's terrain is quite diverse, with a mix of sandy beaches, rocky coastlines, and dense tropical jungle. Phu Quoc National Park, which covers more than half of the island, is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, sheltering a variety of wildlife species and offering numerous trekking opportunities. Besides nature, Phu Quoc is also known for its production of fish sauce, which is considered among the best in the world. The island's laid-back atmosphere is a perfect retreat for those looking to escape the bustle of Vietnam's cities. There are accommodations to suit all budgets, from basic hostels to high-end resorts, along with a selection of seafood restaurants and beach bars.
Simply not worth the effort as there is very little there all of which is available elsewhere including the night market

Small center
This place is a cross between a night market and an open-air shopping mall. Toilets are clean and vendors are probably more honest than the nearby night market.
