Hazret Sultan Mosque, situated in Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana), the capital city of Kazakhstan, stands as one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in Central Asia. Consecrated in 2012, it corresponds with the city's modern and futuristic architecture while following traditional Islamic designs. The mosque can accommodate up to 10,000 worshippers and features a grand, breathtaking interior that includes 50-meter-high domes and vast minarets that reach approximately 77 meters, ensuring it's visible from afar. The structure embodies a contemporary yet classic style, blending white marble, traditional Kazakh ornaments, and elaborate calligraphy. Inside, one can marvel at the intricately designed mihrab, stunning stained glass, and a vast prayer hall with a beautifully crafted central chandelier. The mosque is named after Hazrat Sultan, a revered Sufi sheikh. It has become not just a place of worship but also a symbol of Kazakhstan's cultural and religious heritage, promoting interfaith peace and spiritual harmony.
