From Yangon

Travelers starting from Yangon can reach Indein by air, bus, or train, followed by a boat trip.

• By Air: The quickest way is to fly from Yangon to Heho Airport, which is the closest airport to Inle Lake. After arriving at Heho Airport, you can hire a taxi or shared minibus to get to Nyaungshwe town. The road journey might take around an hour.
• By Bus: There are overnight buses available from Yangon to Nyaungshwe. The journey typically takes about 10-12 hours.
