Intanki Wildlife Sanctuary Tourism

Intanki Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in the Peren district of Nagaland, India, is a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. Encompassing an area of approximately 202.02 square kilometers, it was established in 1993 to preserve a section of the rich biodiversity of the region. The sanctuary features a varied topography ranging from steep hillsides to wide valleys, covered by lush tropical and subtropical forests. The dense forest canopy is home to a wide array of flora including rare species of orchids and rhododendrons. Intanki is also known for its vibrant wildlife; inhabitants include the Hoolock Gibbon, Golden Langur, Hornbill, the rare Blyth's Tragopan, and the majestic Asian Elephant among other mammals, birds, and reptiles. This sanctuary provides an excellent opportunity for wildlife photography and bird watching.
